In the last five years, the Julien Hucq Quartet has extensively toured and performed in Europe, with band members including Calvin Hill, Michael Cochrane, John Betsch, Charles Eubanks, Rod Williams and Jeb Patton. His band has performed in some of the most illustrious venues in the U.S. and Europe, including Birdland (NY), Minton’s Play House (NY), Circulos de Bellas Artes (Madrid), Badensher Hof (Berlin), Jackdawn (London) and Chorus (Lausanne). His global collaborations have involved, among others, Montreux Jazz Festival, Warsaw Jazz Days, Algiers Poetry Festival and Kinshasa Jazz Festival.

In his adopted home of New York, he has performed as part of the Claudio Roditi Quintet, the Calvin Hill Group, the George Robert Orchestra, Barry Harris Big Band, Steven Oquendo Latin Jazz Orchestra, Conceptual Motion Orchestra, George Brandon Sextet, Osiris, Stephen Santoro Orchestra and many others. He has performed alongside well-known figures in NYC, including Steve Nelson, Gene Perla, Marcus Mclaurine, George Schuller, Steve Johns, Rodney Green, Joseph Lepore, Benito Gonzalez, Corcoran Holt, Adam Aruda, Charles Goold, Steve Houben and Jean-Louis Rassinfosse.
